Intensive theatrical workshop from 22 February to 2 March, with the participation of a selected group of actresses and actors coming from Italy, Albania, Malta, Cyprus, Greece, aimed to the realisation of the performance "Ulysses'gramophone - the Wake", for the direction of Fabio Tolledi, that took place during the night between 3 and 4 March starting from 11 pm up to the dawn.
The workshop, final stage of the project "Ulysses' routes – for a critic of violence" realised in Greece, Malta, Cyprus, had as main focus the multi-language perspective. Starting from the idea of sharing, that allows to open the gaze, through a re-writing of Homer's Odissy and Joyce's Ulysses, towards the cultural multiplicity of the Mediterranean space, the performance developed a critical and alternative vision of the figure of Ulysses, symbol of wandering and travelling, personification of a research of knowledge which is much more a desire of dominion.
